Charles and Ray Eames Time Life stool or table. This is shape C in solid walnut. The design was originally created for the the lobby and executive suites of the Time-Life Building at Rockefeller Center in New York City. Produced by Herman Miller. 1960s. This is a nice early example.

Charles Eames (1907–1978) and Ray Eames (1912–1988) were an American design married couple who made significant historical contributions to the development of modern architecture and furniture.  They also worked in architecture, communication, film, graphic design and fine art. They were forerunners in using and inventing many new technologies in the development of furniture. Their work is synonymous with mid-century design.
