Robert Arneson was a California, artist and professor of ceramics at UC Davis for nearly three decades. He is considered the father of the ceramic funk movement. His work is included in the collections of major museums; including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Whitney Museum of American Art
