Partners Hendrick Van Keppel and Taylor Green (VKG) designed custom furniture for their boutique shop which sold their work, along with a select group of other designs and art.  Their first showroom was in downtown Los Angeles, but in 1939 they moved to Beverly Hills. They later opened locations in Santa Monica, San Francisco, Chicago and New York.  VKG furniture was selected by top architects and designers; as well as a common site in Case Study Houses. Top architectural photographer Julius Shulman not only lived with VKG, but also used it as props in many of his iconic images.
