Keisuke Serizawa was a Japanese designer, painter, illustrator, dyer and book and print maker. In 1956, he was designated as a Living National Treasure by the Japanese government for his katazome stencil dyeing technique. His work is included in a number of museums, with the Met having the 1970 version of this print in their collection.
